Blood pressure is the pressure of your blood on the walls of your arteries as your heart pumps it around your body. Your blood pressure will go up and down naturally throughout the day depending on what you are doing, especially if you are doing exercise.

Dr Christopher Wong: Finding novel ways to treat a unique type of chest pain

Since being awarded a Heart Foundation Health Professional Scholarship in 2018, Dr Christopher Wong is breaking new ground with his research into a unique heart condition.

“People with ‘angina with non-obstructive coronary arteries’, or ANOCA, tend to be younger and are more often women,” explains Dr Wong. “They don’t fit the stereotype of a person with heart disease.”
